Unless it’s hidden behind an employee flag: Version 1.21.2.3939
I have PMS on a SATA-3 SSD.
The media is cached on NVMe SSD (TVS-1282 i7 box)

I don’t have the scanner option for my existing library.
embarrassed to say… but like 180,000 eps hahaha : ) : (
i do think for some reason… after the server update yesterday, it somehow did switch to/start using the new tv scanner agent… because the usual scan takes minutes and now (although i’ve had to stop it a few times to import stuff into movie libraries) but the tv scan has run like 7 or 8 hours today all told… and still running now with no end in sight…
it’s weird though… i didnt change the scanner agent… and if i click edit on the library it doesn’t even show the new scanner agent and it shows it’s still set to The Movie Database ?!
weird…
1.21.2.3939-3945797bd here, no scanner option.
(no total rescan either though)
Ok, so since you folks also have 1.21.2.3939.
Oooops!
Guess I wasn’t supposed to show what’s coming.
yea i learned long ago that i needed to put my server on a NVMe ssd : )
i even have my library/databases running in ram, on a ramdisk… (a bit of a pain as i have to back it up and put it back after every reboot : ) and a couple times i’ve forgotten after weeks of uptime/importing with no backup hahaha : (
Well, it’s not like we didn’t know it was coming
But I certainly am not prepared to switch the scanner. I’d like the option to stick with the legacy scanner, just like you guys did for the movie libraries.
Ok… this is messy.
They pushed beta → public with it in this state.
Anyone need the previous version until I can ask what’s happening or do you all still have the previous package binaries?
It’s all good. As long as we can get a fixed version with an option to keep the legacy scanner as default. I stopped the scan anyway.
I recommend backing down to previous version until I can get you some definitive answers.
Having a non-functional Plex server is not fun
In that case, I would need the exe for 1.21.2.3918 please (Windows).
at this point… i’d kinda just like to let it go… do it’s thing i guess… it’s pain now or pain later… might as well be now… : ) : (
or will it somehow have to do a total rescan/do this all over again once the new scanner shows up as an option for the tv libraries and we can pick it? in that case i guess i should fall back to the last server version (i still have a backup of that .deb) ?
Need full spec please. DEB, RPM, NAS ? 32? 64 ?
Well, for those of us with very large libraries, using the new scanners is not really an option. My stuff is all in the cloud, which makes this even worse.
i installed plexmediaserver_1.21.2.3939-3945797bd_amd64.deb today… what did it for me…
so should i roll back?
i guess i might as well…
it won’t break anything right?
Rolling back won’t hurt anything.
Thanks Chuck. Will roll back tomorrow and report back.
I did find 1.21.2.3918
One last question. With the employee flag, you do get the scanner option, apparently. Is there already a choice to keep legacy for TV?
Movie scan was slow for me in the newest build and rolling back fixed it. So it isn’t limited to the series scanner.
