I been using Plex for about 1 month now and I am surprised how good it is, it’s all I wanted and more, I can have my movies, tv shows and music organized in one place with tons of metadata. However when I saw that I could also have a place to upload my favorite YouTube videos I almost Passed out!
I have hundreds of videos from Red Bull and GoPro that I downloaded through the years just in case YouTube decides to mess with them like their doing with recent copyrighted videos that just disappear… Anyway, here I am uploading all my Other video library on the Windows PC app, changing thumbnails and smiling while I do so… After a while I decide to go to my iPad (Where I watch my content usually) and open the iOS app, just to find that the library for Other Videos is shown in vertical!!! And no where I can find a setting to change it!!! They gave me a sweet and take it from me just when I was going to eat it! How is not a setting or option to change the ratio format on Other Videos section is insane, and what’s even more crazy is that in it’s own recommended section they do show in horizontal! So it should not be a problem at all to let us choose!
I’ve seen a couple other posts mentioning about this problem but they been uploaded for more than 5 years now and still they haven’t resolved this simple detail that would make Plex the ultimate perfect platform, so here I am uploading it just in case they saw it again and decide to solve it!
