LG B7 webOS plex not showing subtitles

Plex is not showing any subtitles (local or automatically downloaded). If I force burning them, it works, but HDR content looses its colors and contrast.
They do show on the computer/server’s player.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the TV app. Didn’t work.
Anyone else with this issue? Thanks! : )

I have the same problem since several days. They stop showing and after couple of minutes start working again… super strange!

Oh! Nice to know! I wasn’t patient enough, but now I’ve tested, the subs start showing after a couple of minutes indeed. Thank you : )

Nevertheless, it’s a bug which is very annoying. Last night subs disappeared 5 times on a movie and sometimes it took about 10min to be restored.

It will be nice someone from Plex team to respond to that issue. It was caused by the last LG webOs release.

SRT/ASS or PGS subtitles? PGS subtitles can take a little bit to show up because of the amount of processing needed. If it’s SRT/ASS though, it should be pretty quick. Logs would help.

I’m having the same issue: Subtitles (SRT) won’t show or it will show randomly at some time after starting playing (like several minutes). Only way to make it work is to force burning them which is not ideal. It was working fine I believe until last week.

I thought it was my TV so I factory reset it and reinstalled only the PLEX App but it still isn’t working.

TV: LG 43UH610V
Server Version#: 1.28.1.6092
Player Version#: PLEX for LG - Client version 5.44.6 - Platform version 3.4.0

I have done the same, B7 OLED. everything was working fine and now SRT subtitles stopped working.
It works well on the XBOX Series X and the PC.

Same issue here, subtitles not appearing until 5 minutes into the episode/movie. TV is LG OLED65C7

Exact same for me on my OLED55C7.

It seems like the first and last 5 minutes my external .srt subtitles do not show.

Same thing on my end, although it is only the last 5 minutes when subtitles (srt) disappear. Going back a minute or 2 or completely reloading the movie fixes it, but it is annoying as hell. Oled 65C8 on my end.

I have the same problem with LG 65SJ810V.
Subtitles take time to appear and randomly disappear again.
It works fine on Xplay app on the same TV.
