I was going to create a new thread, but decided to post my experience here instead.
I too have this issue with the client version 5.44.3 (which fixed DV on LG OLED65C7D, thank you again!). The subtitles stopped working (srt, mov_text, etc…) with this version.
Here is the log file (debug logs from the client as well):

Same file and the subtitles are working with the xbox client.
Edit: The issue persists with the client version 5.44.6 sadly…
