I have some movies which have DTS audio. These result in a totally FUBAR picture which I understand is an issue with the LG C2 not supporting DTS. DTS is turned off in the audio configuration in the Plex app on the TV. But, it doesn’t appear the server is transcoding the audio into an acceptable format.
When playing a movie with DTS audio, what is displayed in Plex Dashboard → Now Playing + Expanded View? Post a screenshot if possible.
What is distorted - picture, sound, both?
Does the movie play correctly when using Plex Web (which also does not support DTS)?
It throws an error “This server is not powerful enough to convert video.” when I try to play via web on a laptop. There is audio on the LG C2. And, there is audio and video with no issues playing via an nVidia Shield.
is it only HEVC content that does this?
Would you mind sharing the plex media info xml for a file that has issue and a similar file that does not
