LG OLED now transcoding subtitles it didn't used to

Server Version#: 1.15.3.835

I updated my server yesterday to the newest plexpass version, and now my LG TV plex app is transcoding subtitles it didn’t have to before.

I’m using the exact same video file I was watching yesterday, but now it’s transcoding the video, when yesterday it direct streamed the file.

I made sure it’s still set to Burn Subtitles: Only Image Formats.

I have older server hardware so I’ve been relying on direct stream. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

same here. Suddenly it won’t play anymore.
I’m running version 1.15.3.858 on a synology

Can also confirm . My LG W8 never transcoded - now its transcoding with burning subs.

Remote quality set to original solved my problem.
