LG TV early access not connecting to server

Hi,

I tried the early access app on lg tv and it would not connect to my server.
I have exited this and it now works fine.

I’m having the same issue LG C9, turned on early access and Plex can no longer find the server.

I’ve ensured the server is up to date and tried to manually add the IP, no luck.

Exit really access and instantly working.

Try a power cycle from Power source for 2 min, or

Power cycle doesn’t help, the new version just isn’t ready.

Well that’s incorrect. Works for me and I love it, best app so far by a country mile. Please stop making statements that are not true

A true statement is the application is not fully functional, it’s early access, beta… At the time it doesn’t work on all LG devices, it’s not ready yet.

I have not witnessed a flood of problems in the forum, so it seems very isolated or a home based issue.

public release works with no issue, no changes to the server, no changes to the network, no changes to the tv. I can swap back and forth between them and have it connects and not connect. I’ve monitored the network with Wireshark and I can’t even see the application attempting to connect to the server, something isn’t right with it. I’m not going to waste my time trying to convince someone online it isn’t working correctly, I merely came here to report it doesn’t want to connect with early access on the LG C9. I’m not fussed about it.

Hi i have LG also, and the same happened to me, new version was not able to connect to local server

Hi. I have exactly the same issue on my LG 55UK7550PTA.
Switched out of early access and it’s fine.

I have the same issue. On the public release version, I have set up a Manual Server, pointing directly to the IP address of the Plex server on my local network.
It appears that using the same option (named Manual Connection) in the Early Access app on both of my LG TV’s doesn’t work. Reverting back to the public release version it does work.
I have LG OLED55B7T and LG 55SM8100PVA.
