Ok, it does not help if you donât offer what you have tried to fix the problem and what model LG TV.
It works perfectly for me using a LG OLED B8
Things to try.
a) IPv6 not enabled on TV network settings.
b) Restart TV from power source for 2 Minutes
c) restart router after reservation of Server and TV LAN IP addresses
d) Uninstall loader app from your LG,install again and re link to plex, the old app.Make sure you add the servers LAN IP address and port 32400. App Settings / manual server.
General settings of Plex TV app/ scroll to bottom and make sure you have, Allow Insecure
connections on local network.
e) Add the following appropriate Network settings in the Server settings. Secure settings -preferred. The following add your Router/(Gateway IP address/ 24) to cover all your devices on your local network.
How do I switch back?
Came home to find the ânew plexâ and after signing in and linking my account, selecting my user I get the welcome to our new appâ screen again with a spinning orange circle in the middle and cannot click the âGot itâ button and goes no further.
Tried deleting the app and reinstalling.
The linking my account works instantly but canât access either user on my server.
Go to LG content store and uninstall Lg loader app. Best then to turn TV off at power source and Install again old app and add all the points above I suggest
Hard restarting the TV seems to have done it. Uninstalled, unplugged for 2 mins.
Powered back on, reinstalled (only has option for newer app) and it didnât need to re-link, shows up and working!
Cheers
I would still suggest following up with those points I mentioned, busy consumer routers have issue with heavy traffic.
I didnât come here to ask for tech support. When I went to switch back it asked me to make a post here to say why I was switching back. This is for Plex to know that itâs not working. If they needed a better issue submission tool with more debugging info, they have an app that, if built in to it, might give more details than a forum post.
That said, if it works with the current app and not the future app then itâs not a server setting, a network setting, or a buildup of electricity (why else would you ask for 2 minutes?). I should not have to manually add my server, I should not have to change local tls or authentication settings.
This app does not work. Plex needs to implement better CI and E2E testing before pushing software.

Really dude, have you ever heard of Temp files, cache etc. Power cycling removes those. Does that ring bell to your sarcasm?
The app works perfectly fine on my 2018 OLED, so Iâm guessing itâs your set up. But as it may, you know best. Thatâs why you asked for help.
Power cycling yes. Two minutes, no. Itâs either in ram, which will be wiped at power off, or itâs in something more permanent in which it will reside regardless of electrical supply. The suggestion of waiting for all the electricity to drain out somewhere is a clear indication you know neither how electricity nor digital storage mediums work.
To repeat myself, I didnât come here to ask for tech support. I came at the request of the software vendor to report the reason I switched back to the working application. Youâre the one whoâs making this all about yourself.
Your experience does not represent the experience of all customers. âIt works on my machineâ is not a testing strategy, itâs a anecdote at best.
I agree with you, you know best. I will leave it to you to solve your problem. I donât care less
Seriously? Youâre just going to keep at this? Go away.
I have the same issue. On the public release version, I have set up a Manual Server, pointing directly to the IP address of the Plex server on my local network.
It appears that using the same option (named Manual Connection) in the Early Access app on both of my LG TVâs doesnât work. Reverting back to the public release version it does work.
I have LG OLED55B7T and LG 55SM8100PVA.
In the preview version settings/advanced
Make sure the following.
Allow insecure connections- On local network.
Prefer insecure connections - On same network.
Server settings/Network
Secure Connections - Preferred
