LG TV Finds Plex But Won't Display Media

NEW TO PLEX!

I installed PMS on a PC and loaded a couple of videos. Also installed Plex on my Android phone and IPad. I can successfully view all content on my PC, phone and IPad. However, I am having issues viewing content on my LG Smart TV.

The TV finds the PMS and displays it in the list of available inputs (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, Component 1, etc, etc). When I access the server, the next screen displays three boxes, “Video, Music, Photos”. However, none of the libraries I have created or the videos I have uploaded are displayed.

I am fairly confident that this is a LG related issue, but I can’t resolve it and really need some help.

Thanks for the detailed response.

I took the easy way out and loaded Plex on my Fire Stick. Everything works as advertised except live TV. I get an error message “Playback Error - Unable To Tune Channel”.

I’ll post a question on this forum, hopefully someone will have an answer.
