I am currently living away from home. My plex server is up and running and i have no issues on labtops, or android phone running remotely. When I attempt to setup LG tv it says my server is offline or unreachable. In the past all i had to do was go into plex settings/advanced/Allow Insecure Conections to Always. This time howver there is no Advanced setting. How can i set this television plex app to allow insecure connections?
These screen shots show that the software version of the Plex client on your TV is ancient. Which means that the operating system of the TV is also ancient.
It is unfortunately no longer able to communicate with plex.tv, because it never got modern encryption methods and newer security certificates.

If you want to keep using this TV for Plex, you will have to plug in a kind of “streaming stick” into the HDMI port.
