Movie: MKV with embedded ASS subtitles.
While watching an episode with ASS subtitles, the subtitles disappear at certain point, and do not reappear afterwards. The subs are shown before this point, but never afterwards. When selecting different subs, only playing from the beginning resets the video and applying the new selected subs. Tried to skip after the failure point, but no success. The logs are clean, no errors.
Findings:
This happens always at the exact same point , so i checked the subs and found out this happens due to an overlap in the timing:
Dialogue: 10,0:01:47.08,0:01:50.52,Default,Karen,0,0,0,,So, Robert, do you think that'll be us one day?
Dialogue: 10,0:01:50.52,0:01:52.25,Default,Twilight,0,0,0,,Karen, let's break up.{rip}
Dialogue: 10,0:01:52.25,0:01:52.93,Default,Karen,0,0,0,,What?!
We can see that a line starts exactly when the former line finishes.
So, i tried to reproduce with a “fully” overlapping subs, e.g:
Dialogue: 10,0:01:47.08,0:01:50.52,Default,Karen,0,0,0,,So, Robert, do you think that'll be us one day?
Dialogue: 10,0:01:50.50,0:01:52.25,Default,Twilight,0,0,0,,Karen, let's break up.{rip}
Dialogue: 10,0:01:52.22,0:01:52.93,Default,Karen,0,0,0,,What?!
But that works))
It only happens when the subs truly succeed each other.
any dev could help please?
