New update for WebOS TV app with interface change, breaks option to fast forward or continue playback.
Verified can playback on web player via server or secondary mac via web app but unable to continue playback via smart TV.
Shows starting over and fast forward option greyed out during playback.
Streaming 4K media content locally.
Attempted to revert to “Classic” view: unable to revert back.
Cleared app cache/full reset and fresh log-in to TV: issues persist.
Rebooted server and no updates available, please advise.
I dont have that specific problem.
But the new app with modern layout does make the TV app very slow and choppy.
I tried reverting back to classic but it looks like it turns things off but not really making a switch back to classic.
I’m still in the process of figuring out the problem.
At the moment the new app with modern layout is making the experience not good.
I don’t have any playback issues, but the app on my LG TV has become choppy. That is when looking/searching for titles in the libraries I have pinned.
I have tried switching back to classic, and disabled the new options in the Interface submenu, no dice.
Please fix this soon
Thanks in advance.
Having similar experiences on my LG with the Plex App. In addition to the problems listed, I’ve also noticed that the ‘home’ screen now appears to have a dimmed background of whatever show/item is listed/shown first in the ‘continue watching’ space. I have disabled or should I say ticked the ‘reduce motion’ option as all that chopping and changing was an annoyance before this update. I also have found that the FF option no longer functions, and shows begin at the start, even when you select the ‘resume’ option. When returning to ‘home’ from any of the sections, there is a significant lag, and distortion across the screen, with the former and selected screen content being displayed at the same time.
Not sure who pressed GO on this version of the app, but they clearly did not do a very robust process on getting this right. Plex needs to focus less on delivering trash content via streaming channels no one but Americans would want, and focus more on what they used to do so well, providing a stable and great user experience in serving local user defined/selected content.

In addition to the above I’m also having subtitle problems.
1 it’s slighty out of sync (when it used to be perfect sync)
2 The size or ratio seems different in a not o pleasent way. it looks like the sizes have changed
Can anyone confirm the subs problem? (i;m using srt)
No, luckily not. Have they worked before?
yes perfect. I download and tested every sub myself
I confirm that the Plex app is now painfully slow on WEB OS. I remember I agreed with the “new version” app (or similar text) and I truly regret it. Is there a way to roll back this?
Jup this stutters AS HELL on LG C9. Please fix.
