LG WebOs Plex and subtitles / True HD audio

Hi,

I’ve been experiencing problems with subtitles and buffering due to transcoding.
From there, I learned here that I had to change the ‘Burn Subtitles’ setting in Settings: Video from ‘Automatic’ to ‘Only image formats’. And it works rather fine when I select an external srt file.

However, it seems it does not work for every files in my libraries.
For instance, I have this file with the following caracteristics:

Audio codec: truehd
Can direct stream audio: false
Can direct Stream video: true

Setting: Allow direct play: true
Setting: Allow direct stream: true

The file has several audio tracks.

Any idea on why I can’t seem to use external srt subtitles with this file?

I think you have the same issue as i have. I replied today on the topic below where you can also find a response from a Plex Employee. Unfortunately no solutions though.
