Libraries and Plex Cloud

Hi,

I’m a Plex newby and just subscribed to Plex Pass and created Amazon Drive account so I can use the Plex cloud feature. Is there a tutorial on how to get Amazon files onto my Plex player? I’ve synced my Amazon Drive account with Plex but I can’t work out how to get the files into libararies.

Cheers
Grant

Plex Cloud isn’t available yet to the wider Plex Pass crowed and is invite only. You need to sign up and wait for the invite. I’ve applied but it hasn’t come through yet.

Oh, ok. Thanks Liquidtoon.

Or if you’re feeling adventurous, @JazzyG32 , you can do what I did in the interim. After uploading all your media to Amazon Cloud Drive, mount Amazon as a drive to your machine running the Plex Media Server, and view the media as if it were local. There are many, many different ways of doing this depending on your setup and what systems you’re comfortable with, but as an example I rent a rather cheap unmetered virtual server online – to keep prices down and space extended I’ll refrain from giving out the name, but a bit of googling for virtual server hosts will yield plenty of results – and on that box I have PMS installed along with a few other media aggregating apps, and acd-cli to mount amazon as a drive. Once connected to my Plex account I point the folders to amazon and I can watch all my media hosted on Amazon wherever I’m at with only a bit of lag at the initial video startup.
