Plex Not working for cloud

My Plex Pc based Server stopped working AFTER plex simply failed to work or run… I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and now its back up odd thing is none of my libraries where there Moves etc / so I thought I will add them again and I cant…
My Files are all in My Amazon Cloud Drive and when I click add Library only my local drives are shown.

So I went in to my Plex account on-linked my Amazon drive went to amazon approved apps section removed the authorization there as well, shut down the server rebooted PC came back and logged in to Plex on My PC. Re-added the amazon cloud drive and approved the link as i did before and back to add my media and nada only shows my Local drives. Did a reboot and restart of Plex and still the same shows in Plex I have added Amazon Cloud Drive and amazon shows the approved link. So i am totally baffled now as to why I cant add media now from the linked ACD.

Plex has never been able to see a cloud drive directly. That’s not how the linking to ACD works. The linking to ACD is for Cloud Sync. To have PMS work with cloud drives you need a 3rd party program that will mount the cloud drive as a local drive, which PMS will then see. If you had this working in the past, then maybe you had this 3rd party program before and it stopped working, which would make PMS stop seeing those file.

If you are wanting to connect to your Amazon Cloud Drive.

Linux - ACD-CLI
Windows - Netdrive

Do a search on the forums or Plex Reddit for setting up a Plex Cloud Media server (Not to be confused with the New Plex Cloud feature that is in beta).

Or wait until you get an beta invite to Plex Cloud so you can directly link your Cloud drive to Plex without 3rd party software. Encryption not supported though!

I do not know how the plex folks still appear to respond, and the answer is never a solution, I think everyone who has a problem here wants a solution for it, not an explanation of why it does not work.

Indeed before on my pc after clicking the cloud sync icon in Plex and added Acd I went to add my media stored on ACD and you had the what I can only discribe as a globe icon pick the media and off plex would go sync the library I had setup on ACD. Never ever did I have to use 3rd party software to link to ACD …So is there a way to get this running again?

Um, what you are describing is syncing your local media to the Amazon cloud, which doesn’t require third party software. That is slightly different than exclusively storing media in the Amazon cloud. For media that had been previously synced to the Amazon cloud, a Plex re-install won’t be able to find that media unless the old database has been restored. During the sync process, the filenames are obfuscated and only an entry in the Plex database can translate them back. A new install won’t have any idea what the jumbled mess in the Amazon cloud is supposed to be.

What solution are you looking for?
Are you wanting Plex to develop a way for your OS to mount Cloud storage as a drive on your local system?

I want the same solution as many in the forum, PlexSync does not work anymore …

Cloudsync, crashed for about 2 to 3 months. I find it a long time, if you find an acceptable time for a solution of a tool that previously worked …

Not only I, there are many and many posts referring to errors without solution, only with explanation about this or that, but no solution.

Are you referring to “Mobile Sync”, as I am not familiar with the term PlexSync? If so, which mobile device is giving you problems?

For CloudSync, a solution is not yet available for using it with Amazon

This has never been possible without using a 3rd party software as stated above. There is testing going on now for “Plex Cloud” which does what you are wanting.

so when will CloudSync used with Amazon be fixed or never ?

why some broken features now ???

Well I just got an email to say Amazon is being withdrawn for Plex altogether so the unlimited cloud you wasted your money ? Plex cloud not worth waiting for now if you cant use what you own 350tb and now its worthless on ACD
