Hi Stefan,
There is a beta of Plex Cloud available ( based on Amazon cloud drive), you can apply it here:
https://www.plex.tv/cloud/
Good luck
Oh, that’s sad. So I can cancel my plex pass. I tought, this is already included in plex pass. What is the difference to “plex cloud”, which is included?
Plex Cloud is new and in beta, it’s not included yet per say, as you have to be invited, eventually when its out of beta it will be available to plex pass users
@znebsui@gmail.com You can take advantage of the plex Cloud Sync feature. However you still wont be able to use the data you already have uploaded. Plex Cloud (coming soon) also means you don’t need a local server or desktop to run plex anymore. Don’t go cancelling just yet.
I have a problem, feel bad questionary. Waiting for add for testing cloud on amazon. Is there any way to test beta amazon server from now ?
@everst2015 unfortunately no. You need to wait for your invite or plex pass release
@jbac13 do you know when plex pass release with cloud support ? specially buy cloud amazon unlimited
@everst2015 no I don’t. Sorry. Wish I did. Plex keep things very close to their chest.

The Plex Cloud is in VERY early beta. It will, most probably, be some time before it becomes ready for general use or even reliable enough for regular use by those that have access.
It has instabilities and inconsistencies and lacks that makes it less than usable on a regular basis and while the developers are working diligently to perfect it it does take time.
Also the Amazon infrastructure has to be put in place so the servers do not over tax the system.
Just as a guess, I have no “inside” information on this, I would say that the beta pool will be gradually expanded over the next several months but it will be nearer a year before the Plex Cloud will be ready for release to all Plex Pass users that want it. The big hold up is, I think, expanding the infrastructure and adding the needed features without problems in one masking or exaggerating problems in the other.
This is two quite complex systems working together. It is a LOT more than just putting an app out there. Things have to work in harmony for everything to function and Plex is complex even before throwing the extra stuff of it running in the cloud.
