When I go to Live TV and decided to record several of my Libraries aren’t populating under Recording Options. When I click on Add to Library some of my Libraries aren’t there even though when I go to Manage Libraries they’re all there. What gives?
The libraries listed will only be of the type for that media. A Movie will only list the movie libraries, Other things will only list the TV libraries.
I guess I don’t follow. I have some libraries that are listed as Library Type “TV Shows”. Why won’t those show up if what I’m trying to record is a television show?
If it is not offering your tv libraries is it offering you movie libraries instead? Or do you you mean it is showing you other TV libraries just not the one you want?
Often things presented as shows are actually made for TV movies for example.
3 libraries populate. 2 of them are listed as Movies and the other is listed as Other for their associated types. The other libraries (that aren’t populating) are listed as TV Shows. The show that I would like to record is a television show, not a movie.
Just a quick FYI I’m using Xteve. Not sure if that plays into it at all.
then whatever you are trying to record in the epg data it is marked as a movie. An “other video” library is a technically a type of movie library which is why it is offering that.
I’ve never personally used xTeVe so can’t say but wherever it gets it epg data could just be wrong for what you are trying to record.
So I did look at the EPG data in Xteve and they all have a dash designation rather than news, movie, series, sports. I did change one channel to “series” to see if that would do the trick but it did not.
That said I may have to do some more digging as far as the EPG date goes for Xteve. I think I can still record it just won’t be in the folder I want and I don’t know that any of the metadata associated with television shows is going to come through unfortunately since it’s not a movie.
