None of my libraries are updating changes. I will delete a file or add a folder and it will detect the change but not add or remove the item form Plex Libraries. I have tried “scan Library files” under Server>Manage. I have even edited the library to monitor the folders again. This is also leading to being unable to change any of the metadata on any of my items.
I can play and access all items that have an existing file on the HD but can in no way add or delete new material.
Example 1: I will delete the movie from the HD folder. Plex will then detect that the file is gone but not remove it as an item from my Plex movies library. If I then tell Plex to remove item it says “There was a problem deleting this item” and it stays in my Plex library. The reverse is also true. If I tell Plex to remove the item first it will delete the item from the HD folder but continue to keep the item in the Plex library.
Example 2: I added photos to a photo library. Plex will detect that there is a new folder but not add the photos. I have also move a folder out of the photo folder and it will not detect that those photos are no longer in my library in the same manor as in Example 1.
