Libraries Not Upgrading

I have been trying to setup the new scanner agents. However, when I switch to one of the newer agents, it tells me that a Library Upgrade Is Required.

When I click on the prompt, and tell it to go through the upgrade process, nothing changes. I have done this several times, and it just repeats the loop. Please advise.

Update. Even if I create a brand new library to initially set it to use the newer agents, it stll tells me that a library upgrade is required, and does not actually upgrade the library when I go through the process.

When you create a new library, which scanner and agent is selected on the Advanced tab?

After switching to the new agent, you need to Refresh Metadata of the whole library. Only after this is completed, is the change to the new agent finished.

I select one of the newer ones, like The Movie Database, TVdb, or Last.FM.

That’s the thing. it’s NOT doing it. I started the process yesterday for each library, and today, it’s still using the older agents.

These are not the newer ones. These are the deprecated ones, which will go away soon-ish.

A movie library should be set to “Plex Movie” for both scanner and agent.
A tv show library uses scanner “Plex TV Series” and agent “Plex Series”.
None of the selected agent names must contain the word “Legacy” either.

Because these are the old ones, which need to be changed to the new ones.
