I have multiple libraries on my Plex server. TV, Music, Movies, and Other. It’s Christmas time and on my hard drive, I have a Christmas folder that is currently inside my “movie” library. I wanted it to be easier for people to find Christmas movies so I created a new “Christmas” library. When I did this, It redownloaded all the metadata for that new Christmas Library, and now when I add a Christmas movie, it adds two poster art for each movie, even though there is only one movie inside the Christmas Folder. Am I doing something wrong or is this just a bug
You have two libraries. For Plex this means the movie has been added 2 times. So you are seeing 2 posters.
A better way for this is to create a collection https://support.plex.tv/articles/201273953-collections/
Yeah, I saw that, that’s not really the way I wanted to guy, it’s much easier for a user to just choose the library, instead of many more clicks, not to mention way more complicated if you are trying to tag 500+ movies to a Christmas collection. Any way to select all 500 and add them at the same time?
Never mind…I figured out how to select all of them. I’ll give this a go and see how my users like it
