I setup my WDPR4100 NAS about a month ago and installed plex PMS and it worked brilliantly. The PMS found everything pre-existing and any new content added without issue. I then started to notice that some content was going missing in PMS. This has steadily been getting worse. There are 650 movies in the appropriate share on my NAS and over the last couple of weeks PMS has dropped the amount it can see down to, now, 336. A similar thing is happening with the TV library - the content for which is on another share. Some of my items are showing the trash icon. Some of my multi-season shows are registering 1 or 0 seasons when there should be several. So far I have:
Rebooted everything
Uninstalled/Re-installed Plex PMS on the NAS (latest version and NAS is on latest firmware)
Used SSH to force removal of the plex media database on the NAS. Once done I launched PMS and there must be cached library info somewhere else because immediately I see no difference. I was expecting both libraries to be empty and to start scanning for media afresh.
I’ve tinkered with settings until I’m blue in the face but, so far as I can tell, this is not a settings issue
Checked permissions to all source-folders on the NAS. They are all fine and nothing has been changed in that regard since initial install. As I say - everything was perfect for a couple of weeks. It feels like something is still caching somewhere and I want to force a complete clear-out of existing info for a fresh start.
Can someone please give me some assistance with this. I purchased this NAS with the sole intention of using Plex PMS and I’m currently effectively unable to. Much longer and I will scrap the whole thing in favour of a different solution.
Thanks in advance.
