Can you give me an example of something from your library that won’t match? I can make a dummy file with EXACTLY the same naming and see if it works on mine.
That gives us something to work from. If it works on mine, it’s likely a configuration issue your end.
I have to ask an obvious question: although you have TMDb as the top scraper, do you have the folder defined as Movies in its library properties?
A regular movie library in Plex uses the Plex Movie agent by default.
You’ll have to switch the default agent of this library to The Movie Database.
It also can’t hurt to search for the concert at themoviedb.org to see the exact title used.
Think of ‘leaving out’ special characters ( e.g. :) instead of replacing them with other special characters.
Still, you will very likely find some concerts which are not listed at TheMoviedatabase.
I have turned to creating .nfo files for these (needs a special agent manually installed).
If your files are using the MP4 container format, you can also embed most info into the file itself.
But I prefer the MKV Format, because it supports named chapters, which I use to have song names in Plex (still not in all client types).
Yes. I have found problems where an identical file but one character will cause TMDb to ignore the match. A good example is AC.DC vs the actual TMDb title of AC/DC. Sometimes I have seen it match these to something randomDirectors Cut.
Guess you didnt read my post.
i pretty clearly stated that i was using the movie database, and NOT plex movie agent.
So why you explain that i need to use the movie database agent is beyond me…
