Library Scan taking forever...Starts right back up after Cancel

So I noticed that the scan of my Movies library was taking forever and if I cancel the scan, it just starts right back up automatically. Should be looking in the PMS log or the Scanner Log?

Well known issue… They’ve been working on it since 1.12.2 was in beta

Grrrrr…that’s frustrating. I can’t do any manual scans because of it.

I’m having this problem too :frowning: Also prevents other libraries from updating UNLESS I close PMS, end the Scanner process in Task Manager, then reload PMS and queue a manual scan of other folders. Otherwise it defaults back to Movies and wont let up.

There is an update going through QA now.

If you can (Windows hosts can do this easily) back down to an earlier server version. I believe Windows systems automatically maintain older installer versions.

On Linux, simply install a older pkg fie

I personally see no option to revert.

Anyone have any suggestions to at least stop ALL scanning? Cos this scanning loop is really hindering my PC.
