Library shows offline on my android device

I tried accessing my plex library from my android phone and it says offline. I then purchased the lifetime plex pass. Now it shows me this.

Still shows offline.

Does this happen just when you are on Mobile Data?
Have you tried it while connected to your Home Wifi, the same network that your Plex Server is on?

I’m at work. I’m on Mobile Data. I can’t hop on wifi because I’m at work. I work at a college and no kids are on campus so even though I have all this free time… I cannot jump on my work wifi and stream movies.

My roku works and shows my library when I’m at home on the Wifi.

Being on your work Wifi wouldn’t answer the question anyway.
I’m wondering if you have your Plex Server configured to work outside your home network (LAN)?
Have you ever used it away from home?

I have not. I’m not tech savvy. So there’s probably an easy fix. I was using my friends plex and decided it was time to get my own. But don’t really know what I’m doing. Also I really appreciate your help. Especially because it’s probably something anyone who’s tech savvy knows.

Plex has a support article for nearly any problem.
This is the support article that shows how to enable remote access.

See if you can access your server using this URL: https://app.plex.tv/desktop
Use a Laptop / Desktop if you can.

Awesome! Will try that as soon as I get home! Thanks for your help. I’m sure anyone who knew what they were looking for would have found it. But someone like me. Has no idea what they are looking for. Thanks for your help!

I have accessed my library on a Roku at my parents house. Idk if that helps.

I’m just guessing so far.

Yes it does. That’s why I asked; Have you ever used it away from home?.
It means that Remote Access from your Plex Server is probably working. Check it anyway.
I suppose your server could actually be offline.

How do I get it back online? My library is all on a External Hard drive thats hooked to my CPU.

I will definitely check when I get home.

Its on. I see the uPnP or NAT-PMP support. Going to try that. But also have no idea what I’m doing so should be a learning experience.

A way to test it is turn Wifi off on your phone. This will force it to use Mobile Data.

I was using mobile data at work? My router supports upnp. Idk what that is or means but I’m going to try and figure it out.

UPnP is Universal Plug and Play.
It tells your router which port Plex is using so you can see Plex from outside of your own network. It usually works but sometimes it doesn’t.
If you go into the Plex settings, and scroll down to Remote Access does it show that it is accessible?

Yes, it says fully accessible outside your network and I just deactivated and reactivated upnp. Still shows no items to display on my phone.

Ok, the issue is not your Plex setup.

Can you log out and back in to Plex on your phone?
Top left, gear icon, Account…

I can. However I did that earlier today. I Uninstalled the app and reinstalled it.

I did that it did not work.

In the phone Plex settings, try disabling Connect Automatically and restarting the app.
I’m just going by other threads now. Not sure what is wrong.

Connect automatically or sign in automatically? Couldn’t find the connect automatically. Did the sign in automatically. That didn’t work.

It worked for like a week. It just told me I needed an update for my library. It now shows the same. Shows my library is empty.
