All of a sudden, my preferred sort order for my music library (Sort by ALBUM/TITLE) is no longer sticky. Until today, if I sorted my music library by Album/Title, the plex web app would remember this for my user and, unless I resorted the view, I could always go to my music library and it would show me my music library sorted as I left it: Album/Title. It didn’t matter whether I logged off and back on, it would always reliably hold on to this setting. Today, the behavior suddenly changed. Now, if I so much as navigate away from a view all display of my music library (lets say I focus in on the track list of an album, or switch to my movie library, or change from my LIBRARY tab to the RECOMMENDED tab, it doesn’t appear to matter), when I next move back to my music library it will sort everything by, what appears to be the software’s default, Artist/Title. I can then resort back to my preferred order (so none of this, of course, is the end of the world), but it won’t stick and I can’t for the life of me figure out what’s changed or how to get back to the old behavior.
I have this feeling that it’s a simple setting or preference that I need to re-toggle but I am currently at a loss and my googlefu has been weak.
So far, I have:
- Restarted my plex server.
- Cleared the cache on my plex server
- Logged in and out of the plex web app on my client machine.
- Tried different browsers on my client machine.
Interesting side note, the plex app on my android phone is working as expected (it is holding on to my preferred sort order: Album/Title). It’s just the web app that has changed behavior.
