Library unavailable

I’m running plex server on a Qnap NAS and I have a few Roku TVs with the Plex app on my local network.
Most libraries are fine across all devices (for example, “Shows” and “Music” display all the content in their libraries) but when access the Movies library, I get a “Library Unavailable. The owner has not added content to this library” message.
When I access the movies library on my browser it works fine. In fact, the movies library also displays fine on one of my TVs, but not the other two. Note that the movies library did work previously on all devices.
All apps are up to date as is the server.

any insight or suggestions?

Thanks

Go to the library section and edit it.

Look at where PMS is looking for your media ?

Is it looking in the Multimedia shared folder or a shared folder which no longer exists ?
– if so, delete what doesn’t exist and add the real paths to it.

If you’re not sure,

  1. make certain DEBUG logging is on & VERBOSE logging is off (SAVE if changed)
  2. Scan files to have PMS look for them (it should generate errors)
  3. Settings - Server - Troubleshooting - Download Logs
  4. Attach the ZIP file here .

Thanks Chuck. I ensured that the paths are correct. I tried to renew the path, so I see all the movie files in the dir, but Plex is still saying the Library is empty. Other libraries (for example “Shows”) is fine and they have similar paths.

The logs are attached.

Hi Chuck. Please take a look at this when you get a moment.

Hello everyone… Can someone chime in here?
Thanks!

Chuck is the expert but in the meantime it really looks like you are pointing ‘movies’ to the wrong path.
Look again.
Is your movies folder in/on the same drive as your TV shows.
If yes then again check your paths.

If no it looks like the movies folder location has different permissions than your TV folder

Thanks for the reply.
The library is definitely pointing to the right folder.
Checking permissions was a good idea. The movie directory previously worked, but I wondered if there were any differences in the permissions maybe a recent upgrade broke things-- but the permissions on the TV and Movies directories are the same.

Here’s some new info–
On a browser, on my master account the directory says “Movies are empty”, but then I just logged in as one of my managed users (on the same browser) and the Movies all load.
This is however not universally true of this managed account. As I mentioned earlier, on a Roku TV logged in as this managed user, the Movies dir is empty.

Hello again. Is anyone available to give this a look or does Plex offer support directly?
