I currently have a 1 year plex pass membership. I would like to upgrade to a lifetime plan. If I click on change plan, I get an Unable to process subscription for upgrading error message.
Deal on it right now, btw, for about 88 bucks.

Did you buy the yearly subscription through an App Store (Apple, Google Play, Amazon Fire TV)?
I believe you cannot upgrade from one of those due to limitations. The related support article suggests to cancel the current subscription and get the upgraded version (e.g. lifetime) after the current subscription expires.
Example:
Yes I bought it through the Google Play store. I canceled my current subscription but it looks like my plan is good until August 2021.
Yes. That deal is why I want to upgrade to the lifetime plan.
