The sale on the Lifetime Plex Pass is a limited time offer. No end date has been said and it could go away at any time.

How does one go from being a Monthly subscriber via monthly iTunes subscription to lifetime? Do I gift myself a subscription and then cancel monthly via iTunes?

Thanks OttoKerner! I’ve read that document and the process is cancel your iTunes based Plex pass, let it expire then purchase through the plex website.
My iTunes subscription for Plex expires on 1/04/17. Since, it is unlikely that the discounted rate will be available at that time, looks like I should gift myself a lifetime subscription to lock in the lower price.
Will there be an issue applying that gift subscription to my current Plex account at that time?

No. And even if it were, the PlexPass billing support will sort that out for you.

I didn’t get an email but checked on the Plex web site & it looks like the prices are reduced for everyone. In the UK it’s now £94.99 which is the current equivalent of $119 (thank you Brexiteers!)
