Lifetime Plex Pass Purchase - Two Different Accounts

I have two different Plex accounts that I use, one for my Shield downstairs and one for my Plex Server that is located upstairs. I wasn’t thinking about them being different account as I had set them up a long time ago. I purchased a lifetime Plex Pass for the account that I stream from, not the one the server is setup with. This is perhaps a major error on my part.

Obviously I want the lifetime Plex Pass to be on the server account. What are my options here? Can I merge accounts? Do I have to re-setup the Plex server with the other account? Can a Plex Pass be moved to a different account? Thanks for your help with my idiocy.

You can possibly move the Plex Pass to another account. Alternately, you can claim the server with the account with the Plex Pass.

To move the Plex Pass to another account, contact Plex Billing: https://www.plex.tv/contact/?option=billing-issues#p-contact

To claim the server with another account:

  1. Unclaim server. Settings → Server_Name → General. Click Remove.
  2. Re-claim using desired account.
  • Existing libraries will stay the same. You will not have to re-install Plex Media Server.
  • If you share with anyone, you will have to re-invite and re-share libraries, as sharing is tied to the account.

Awesome thank you!
