Is it really lifetime even if Plex goes from version 2 to 3 to 4 and so on… ?

How many devices can be connected at one time ?

You seem like a probable convert from Emby judging from your questions. This direct of conversion is rare these days

To answer your question: the lifetime should be tied to this very product and not to version number. Only in case substantially different features would be offered, Plex holds back the right to charge additionally (imagine them delivering content). At least that is what’s said by the officials and I have no reason not to believe them.

Device number is not limited in any way.

We do not limit device connections. You can have any number of Plex players signed into your Plex account as your server machine and network can handle. As for sharing your server with other Plex accounts, the limit is 100.
