Server Version#:1.22.0.4136-3ca7898f3
Player Version#:1.28.0.1681-cc6e801c
Upgraded to newer 10th gen Intel CPU and 11th Gen MB , fresh software installed. New ASUS GT-AX11000 router replacing my old GT-AZ11000.
Now windows plex player doesn’t see server, nor my android plex player or my Nvidia Shield plex player. common denominator- the new router. Is there a router setting I am forgetting about? Any ideas what the problem is?
Windows Plex Player doesn’t show server option in settings. I am new at this Plex stuff. I had trouble getting the old system to see the NAS, finally got it after reading many comments on plex forums. Synology Assistant sees the NAS, my FTP client sees the NAS, NAS says system healthy.
I am a novice at networking. Both the router and nas are both 255.255.255.0. I have deleted and re-downloaded phone app and shield app. I have restarted the shield and it doesn’t see server. I’ll keep tinkering.
Use DHCP Yes

jumbo frame Enable Jumbo Frame, the MTU value is 4000
Network Status 1000Mbps, full duplex, MTU 4000
They kill a LAN because of all the fragmentation on components you don’t have control of (WiFi devices, mobile devices, etc, etc etc). The standard is 1500. It’s that way because of all the headers involved with IP and TCP.
Unless you’re a network infrastructure engineer who can make every device 4000 , then don’t.
okay, thanks. I changed it. I still have to keep tinkering. I know the devices I have connected changed to the new router ip address. The old router was 192.168.1.1 , should I try changing the router to the previous ip and see what happens?
I changed Router ip to 192.168.1.1 like the old one. still the same stuff. But then a few hours later, I logged in thru server plex app and signed in and there it was… I had to set up libraries again and it is now doing its thing. Thanks!
