Lightpack and PLEX

Hello people,
I use to use my PS3 as a media server for my video files. Through a HDMI splitter, I had one HDMI to the TV and the other to my PC. Then using a USB video capture device that would duplicate the image from what I could see on the TV onto my PC. Then the Lightpack program (Prismatik) captured the colours from the edge of the screen and transmitted that through USB to the Lightpack LED’s behind my TV…

For those who do not know what Lightpack is or does, take a look Here - youtube.com/watch?v=NUfxu0E6X9k

Are you all still with me… Hopefully you are

So, now I’m using Plex and my PC is the Plex server, which as everyone knows uses the home network to stream video files to devices. So there is no HDMI needed which means my previous setup as above becomes useless. Is there a way I can somehow manage to link the Lightpack to Plex? So that Lightpack could capture what is being streamed? I would not pay for a cinema ticket again if this was possible

Thank you for any help or advice.

Since you didn’t say what your PC has (I’m assuming it has DVI), try a DVI to HDMI adapter like this one at Newegg. Please note, this is just used for reference, not a recommendation or endorsement of Newegg.
