I purchased the 4.99 activation for my smart phone to use plex, but my uncle wants a link code to enable my device or send me a request or whatever. I have scoured the app up and down and cannot find this code. do I have to purchase the plex pass for this code, or should the 1 time activation i paid for on my phone have been good enough?
you cannot use the link code on our mobile apps. links codes are only for making it easier to sign in on TV based devices which all generally have remotes with only a few buttons like a Roku. When you open an TV based app like a ROKU it will show you a code on screen. Again this does not apply to mobile apps which have a keyboard.
It seems your uncle does not actually want to share with your Plex account and wants to sign you into his account for some reason. can I install plex/roku onto my laptop with a key board?
Not really sure what your asking. You can install the Plex Media Server on your laptop. The Plex app for Roku can connect that server on your laptop.
