Linux Desktop (snap) doesn't discover Chromecast

Web player streams to my Chromecast just fine. Snap version says “No players found”.

Version 1.52.1 – still the same.

Chromecast is a Google technology. It can only be used in conjunction with Google products. Like an Android mobile phone or the Chrome web browser.
The Plex desktop player is neither of these and therefore can only cast to real Plex players.

Wait a moment. VLC is able to cast to Chromecast but it’s not a Google product. Right?

It might be using DLNA, which Plex doesn’t support (for casting).
