Playback is failing “due to multiple playback errors”. This started happening today. I used the same devices earlier in the day from around 2AM - 10AM. and playback was ok. Returned and started using the devices around 1PM, and I started receiving the playback failures.
I noticed there was a new version of PMS out, so I went ahead and upgraded but that didn’t stop the playback failures.
This setup has been working more or less with minimal problems for a while now.
Another potentially important piece of information is that I have a single large drive that everything data and config wise is on. It’s 87% full and I’m planning on splitting things up a little while also moving the config folders onto their own drive.
Linux OS is already on its own 1TB ssd

ok, just to update. this seems to be totally client side at this point. power cycling the devices clears it up. Both devices are rokus.

ooook, so I’ve still kinda battling this issue. Comes and goes, but slightly different as device reboots or full power cycles aren’t clearing it up. Server is running in container on ubuntu linux. I run two containers, 1. Music; working OK 2. Video: having some playback problems.
logs:
Not sure if related…my current problem seems to be with audio track playback and it’s presenting in a couple different way.s
-
Primary problem currently: Audio transcodes giving me problems where the playback halts and I receive a message that the playback failed. I include a Passthru track in my handbrake jobs, and these used to transcode OK and actually a remedy for the next problem
-
E-AC3 tracks have been giving playback issues where the sound is choppy. These tracks are from hanbrake jobs and default to ~1500kbps. Some of my players struggle with this, and I’ve really just been changing to the passthru track to get what the player wants from a transcode. I can also include an AAC 2.0 or 5.1 track in the job and the same players play this track ok.

Problem #1 is happening on the roku at the top. Problem #2 is not happening on the Roku that I included at the top.
I’m not sure if I configured the P2000 correctly in the container. I followed online guides a year ago. But it’s unstable and the hardware transcoding will eventually stop working and I gotta bounce the container to make it work again.
