Why as a Plex Pass member do I have to manually update my server while Public Users can simply press the update button and voila done. Seems to be ass backwards no?
Only certain beta releases require a manual update. These are ones that have significant changes, and being preview releases may break stuff so you need to manually update so that it’s not a surprise if it happens.
My server has to be manually updated, meaning wget and the dpkg -i every single update including the last one from 0.9.16.2 to 0.9.16.3.
Plexpass version or not, Linux doesn’t autoupdate. It’s always been a manual process.
You could script the process or use this one
Why could they not setup a repo and we could then add it to the sources.list?
