I would like to listen to my podcasts by episode instead of by show. So I have 12 different shows, and if I have 2-3 episodes that I haven’t listened to recently, then I would like to sort and listen by oldest to newest regardless of the show. So I may listed to show 1, then 2 then 3 depending on the age of the episodes. Right now it seems like I’m locked into one show and listening to all podcasts in that show before switching to the next show. I find that I’m stop/starting between each episode that I listen so that I can listen to the next oldest episode that I haven’t listened to yet.
I’m not getting a very good experience with PodCasting at the moment. I love Plex for movies and pictures, but this is not very good. Not only do I have the issue above but to make things worse the download next 3 unplayed doesn’t work, it always goes to the oldest episode available and downloads from there. And if I’m listening to last weeks episode, instead of going to the next episode in the list it goes to that very same oldest episode in the entire stack. So not only does it not play in order, but unless I’m on the ball I keep re-listening to the oldest episode in the show. Would be nice to know if there’s some activity on podcasts, otherwise I’m going to be force into abandoning using this feature again.
