Live recording on extra time can’t be started

Player Version#: Apple TV 4K latest
Tuner Make/Model: 2250
Guide/Lineup name: FOX

Happened to me a few times but for this example here’s the situation:

Recording World Cup on fox with 30 minutes extra on recording.
I try to watch it several ways and can’t because:
1: live tv is showing the next show in the guide and I can’t go backwards to select the show recording.
2: I go to my saved show library and it’s not there because it’s still recording.
3. I go back to live tv and select Upcoming Recordings. I see it as recording and select it but you can only modify recording, not play it from that page!

This seems like a reasonably simple UI fix. Unless there’s a way I don’t know of?

Unfortunately this is a long standing issue with Plex Live TV. I’m seeing threads that go back 5 years with this same concern. Maybe this thread will be the one to get the enhancement started.

Does anyone with Plex have feedback on if this is part of the roadmap to be addressed?
