I am pretty new at this and I have a quick question. I recently acquired my Lifetime Plex Pass so I could set up the Live TV/DVR. I have PLEX loaded on my WD MyCloudEX2Ultra connected to my HDHomerun FLEX 4K. I was able to set up the Live TV and DVR with no problems and I was even able to record a TV show with no problem. However, when I try to play live TV I get a Playback Error, Not enough CPU for conversion of this item. When I try to play the DVR show I get a Playback Error This server is not powerful enough to convert video. Is there a setting somewhere that I need to change? Or is it the MyCloudEX2Ultra that just can’t handle the Transcoding?
I’m not exactly sure about the capabilities of the WD NAS. First check should be if you have disabled transcoding on your server for good as that’ll produce the same error message (see Settings > [Server Name] > Transcoder > Disable video stream transcoding).
The need to transcode the recorded (or live streaming) media will also depend on what client/player app you use (some platforms are more capable then others).
