It’s absolutely not your system, and it’s an issue that PLEX will not admit is even happening, but as you see the proof is in the testing, and I’ve tested every release and Beta since the working version I suggest here.
Anyone test the lates Plex servers to see if the problem is resolved?
the latest (4.143) was still broken. I just had to revert to the version John listed above to get it working again. hopefully they’ll fix it soon!
Are you still having the problem? I am and wanted to check.
Thank you
using most recent beta and for tuner PLEX Uncheck “Use hardware-accelerated video encoding”
so far working great.
let me know
Spoke too soon, it still gets errors and claims the signal is weak then stops playing, all the while the HDhomeRUN software running side by side shows a strong signal and keeps playing without a glitch, so PLEX is still f*cked. Back to the old version again.
Signed up for EMBY, testing their ability to play Live TV without glitching out.
So far ZERO issues with EMBY Live TV !
I will have to do some more experimenting on mine.
Ugh don’t want to switch to Emby.
lol
Can you share what client(s) you are using? Plex live TV on Roku in particular is problematic if you haven’t enabled MPEG2 support in the Plex app’s options. It’s not enabled by default as Roku’s MPEG2 support is… not great.
Using ROKU’s and all have “Allow MPEG2” checked. Same problems with the various browsers, Firefox, Google, same with PLEX on AppleTV. It’s not great at all, but Emby is holding its own now watching live antenna tv with zero issues on any channel PLEX craps out on or any other for that matter.
@_John what is the latest “acceptable version” that Plex is forcing us to upgrade to? I am REALLY sick and tired of Plex forcing me to upgrade when I DO NOT WANT ANY OF THERE CRAPPY UPDATES!!! I can’t watch my news on my lunch break today because I am getting an error message that my version does not meet the minimum requirements. I know from experience that I can’t just download the latest version because it is going to be untested and full of bugs! Plex should work on making their core foundation rock solid instead of trying to be Netflix, which they are not and never will be.
