DVR error after upgrade to latest version

Server Version#: 1.18.0.1846
Player Version#: 1.3.1.916-1cb2c34d
Server Synology NAS DS918+ / client Win10

After upgrading the latest version Live TV stopped working. Plex still finds tuner, but shows error message when trying to watch EPG/TV.

I tried to delete DVR and add it again, but same error.

Having same issue. Seems to be a player error as I have no issue viewing Live TV channels from Android app.

Server version 1.18.0.1846
Plex Windows client version 1.3.1.916-1cb2c34d
Tuner is HD HomeRun HDHR4-2US running firmware 20190621

Same here, Android and VBOX own viever on Windows can show live tv just fine.

Come on Plex team, please some help with this issue! Ping @trumpy81 @ChuckPa

It is not question of EPG, everything was working just fine before upgrade. Is there somebody from Plex team who is working with live tv/DVR issues!?

I also have the same issue - selecting “Live TV & DVR” on PLEX player, I get message: “There was an unexpected error”

PLEX v1.3.1.916-1cb2c34d (on Windows 10 client)
PMS v1.18.0.1846 (on Windows 10 server)

It seems that DVR backend is working, all recordings are coming to TV Shows folder. But can’t access EPG, can’t watch tv and can’t define new scheduled recordings. And it is just not me, others are experiencing excatly same problem! I am paying monthly fee and expect at least somebody from Plex team to acknowledge this problem!

Plex Player app on Windows is not working for me either after a recent server update, but I can browse to my plex server web interface and see the DVR page.

Same here, issue started with 1.18.0.1846, I just applied 1.18.0.1900 and same issue.
I removed the DVR and added it back and now I can see this errors in the logs:

This error showed up after applying: 1.18.0.1846.

Just upgraded today…same issue here too. I have windows plex server and macosx client. @Plex.tv Help

I’ve been having an issue where recordings and live stream fails when trying to watch/record HD channels. Standard definition channels are fine

Plex Version 1.18.0.1913
HD Home Run Connect Duo DVR
Region: GB

Same issue (“unexpected error”) as mentioned by many above.

Initially, I restored previous version from backup, and all was working until about 2:00 AM this morning (worked for about 24 hrs). Then, Live TV stopped in the middle of a program and the error message was back.

I installed the latest version of the server software, but issue persists.

I’m running Catalina on iMac (Plex Server [Version 1.18.0.1944] and Player [Version 1.3.1.916-1cb2c34d] for MacOS) and using HD HomeRun Duo.

Same issue using HDHR Extend on 1.18.0.1944 with windows 10 app.

Other applications are exhibiting awkward symptoms:
iOS devices show a frame, then show buffering on the device but playing on the dashboard
PS4 has the same experience
Chrome Web interface seems to play live TV OK
Android client sporadically plays OK or doesn’t play at all

@ChuckPA has this error been noticed by Plex team and if so, is there any timetable for fixing this!?

FYI, Geniatech has released a public, 64-bit beta version of their EyeTV software (EyeTV 4.x for MacOS).

Even though it’s in beta, and currently requires some workarounds, I’m finding it to be much more reliable for watching live TV and recording than the current Plex apps.

Just installed 1.18.1.1966, Live-tv is no more in the menu, what is going on!? image

Not seeing that issue on 1.18.1:

Am still seeing the error when I click on live tv however.
