Live TV and DVR playback no longer function after upgrading to 4.136.1

Everything worked fine before I upgraded to the latest version!
Now I am unable to watch live TV or playback any of my recordings.
All pertinent information i.e. windows version plex version, etc. are contained therein.
Server logs are attached as well.
I tried to roll back to the previous “working” version and it gives my database errors.
My Plex is currently completely unusable!

Same, last two updates broke the livetv.
Roll Back to PlexMediaServer-1.40.5.8921-836b34c27-x86_64 and it will work again.

John when I tried to roll back it gave me a database error.
I can try to install the version you are referencing if you can point me towards a repository that would have that file available for download

Let me look…

I actually found a repository on github. Thank you! Fingers crossed that it will let me install it and fix my problem without database errors

Great, keep the file if it works as the next update may be broken too.

Let me know if it works for you please.

Should it be showing as Version 4.133.0 under Plex Web - General?
I installed the file you recommended. So far no database errors. I am going to do some testing to see if I am able to watch live TV again and view my DVR recordings now

Version 1.40.5.8921 under the settings… general tab.
Don’t forget to tell it to skip the update it’s now proposing.
Your recordings “may” be pooched, check live tv to be sure its working.

Hey John thanks again for the help on this matter! My version does show 4.133.0 under Plex Web - General but I don’t care as long as it is working again. Sorry for taking so long to reply. I will NOT be updating even though I keep getting the “new server version available” message

No problem, it can be frustrating when others don’t seem to have the issue that you are trying to get up from. Seems there are more with this exact problem than PLEX wants to admit, glad I could help!

I am also having this issue.

I downloaded the file from the github repository, but I don’t have a clue as to how to extract the .exe from the .qpkg.

I would greatly appreciate any help you can give an old man so that I can get the Live TV working again.

Thanks in advance.

Same TV Tuner, windows server here as well. Have the same issue. Deleting the codecs folder (or even just the MPEG2 Codec) fixes it and TV works again, until playback is stopped (either stopping, or exiting plex). Trying to restart and it no longer works again.

EDIT: It looks like rolling back to the update @_JOHN recommended fixed things! Hopefully this gets sorted out in a future update.

Good to hear, it’s STILL the only version working properly and I’ve tested every one since up to PLEX - PlexMediaServer-1.41.3.9292-bc7397402-x86_64

PLEX - PlexMediaServer-1.41.3.9292-bc7397402-x86_64 and all previous versions I’ve tested are BROKEN still! The only working version that functions properly is still PlexMediaServer-1.40.5.8921-836b34c27-x86_64
