Live TV and DVR playback not working

Server Version#: 1.18.1.1973
Player Version#: 4.8.3 (on my PC)
I’m also using a Plex client on my Roku Ultra, sorry, don’t seem to be able to find a client number for that client.

Things have been working fine up to this point, for quite some time, but all of a sudden, neither Live TV nor DVR playback are working correctly, from either directly on my PC or from the Roku Ultra.

If I try to watch Live TV or playback a DVR recording from the web client on the PC, I just get a blank screen with a spinning wheel.

If I try to watch Live TV from the Roku Ultra, it looks like it is buffering (but never gets beyond 13%), and eventually I get an error stating “Playback error” and “Sorry, we could not play your Live TV channel”.

If I try to playback a DVR recording from the Roku Ultra, again, it looks like it is buffering (in this scenario it goes all the way up to 33%), and I get an error screen stating “Playback error” and “We’re unable to play this video, make sure the server is running and has access to this video.”

As I said, this has all been working fine for quite some time, this just started within the last 24 hours.

I’ve attached the logs from my Plex Media Server.

Appreciate the help.

Thanks,

Mark

I am also having a problem only I get the “Recording has ended, No soup for you” which is the problem with the version of the server. Many people have fixed this by reverting to a previous rendition of the server but I do not know how to do this on my newly purchased Qnap Nas and newly created Plex server. Anybody have a clue how to go back to a previous version on a NAS? Please tell us how.

My problem is fixed and seems to be performing correctly after fixing permissions and turning off ipv6.

Looking at your logs I see that the Roku isn’t allowed to direct play MPEG2 and the Server version you are on is having a problem with the reliably detecting QSV Hardware for transcoding, dropping to CPU.

If you remember the last version that you had working I would uninstall this one and install it till they can get out a new version.
