I’m not able to start live tv on my Sony Bravia Android. It just spins up. I tried the iOS app on my iPad, and it started within a few seconds. PMS1.8.0 and a HD Homerun Expand.
I’m on a 2017 Sony Android TV (X900E) and an HDHomeRun Connect (just got into the Android beta program this morning). I had the same issue with one channel in particular, so I restarted the Plex server, app, and the HDHomeRun. All seems to be well now, but it is an early beta, so not entirely surprising. Did you try other channels as well?
Have the same issue with live tv on my Mi Box after upgrading to the 6.3 client… hdhomerun prime–>windows 10 PMS 1.8 and 1.76 tested.
Works fine from phones and Nvidia Shield TV
I get the same issue on my Galaxy S5, Galaxy tan S, but works fine on Shield tv apart from the constant crashes when you change channels.
Could it possibly be an issue with non Android 7.0 and above devices?

I’m not having any crashes when I change channels on my Nexus 6P with Android 7.1.2 and the latest beta Plex app. I have a HDHomeRun Dual with OTA.

Must say not having an issue with anything crashing on my Nvidia Shield TV or S8 Plus
definitely been on that side also where others have issues that i didnt experience.for me I can make it crash every time by trying to change channels every 20-30 seconds . When it does it I often have to kill the app and the server to get things working correctly again.

We saw this this morning when my wife was obsessing over the inability to use the last button on our TV remote to jump between channels. I was showing her how to fast switch between programs while a program is playing, and after a few quick program changes, we couldn’t play anything. I reverted back to 6.2, so she could continue watching her morning shows, but it required a server restart to remedy. I’d guess this is a server bug rather than an issue with the beta client, but I haven’t tried to reproduce in 6.2 or with the iPhone app to confirm.
Went back to 6.3 after realizing that the remedy was in the server restart.
I tried several channels, mine is a X8509C, 2015 model.
Wounder if the recently released 6.3.1 client fixes this issue. From the release notes, it looks like it might… will have to wait until it is available I guess.
Nope 6.3.1 did not fix the issue for me
6.4 fixed my issue
