Live TV crashes after the first tuning

Hi all,

I have FireTV’s connected via ethernet to my PMS. On the PMS, I have two HDHomeRun Primes. When I use live tv to view the first channel, everything works swimmingly. When I try to change to the second channel, it fails and says that I need to restart both the PMS and the FireTV app. Has anyone run into this?

Thanks! Will.

I get this all the time. Only restarting the PMS fixes it. It will work for a while then I get the error, but only on channels I was watching. I’m also using a Prime.

Same problem here. HDHomeRun Connect, though. Problem occurs both on Fire TV and Android TV apps (both Android, obviously). Wired and wireless. Which PMS platform are you using (Shield TV for me)?

Windows 7 for me. Also wired and wireless.

I’m all wired, running PMS on Windows 10. The only thing I can think of is that the failures seem to happen with premium channels that are not DRM’d. Is there some other setting someplace that needs to be tweaked?

Thanks! Will.

This happens to me on CNN, local CBS, ABC, NBC. If I watch a channel and switch to a different channel, at some point, when I come back to the original channel, I get the error on that channel. Other channels are fine.

My guess is that the livetv cached files are not getting deleted. So the app is not able to start up a new live TV session. Restarting the server seems to clean everything up.

Still happening after the latest update.

So are we to assume this will not be worked on?

I’m getting these errors when switch from a channel on Live TV and then switch back to it.

WARN - [E] enum_create(): Class not found, CreateClassEnumerator returned S_FALSE

Are you seeing this error in your logs?

@WCTschumy I don’t suppose you have any logs from when this happened? If you see it happening again, I’d love to see some logs.
