Hi, just recently (within the last week), watching live TV just crashes the Plex app, every time. I’ve got a Sony TV running Android TV, it’s got the latest version of the app and I have the latest version of Plex server.
Any ideas? This is really frustrating and the entire family is cursing Plex.
Having the same problem on my Android phone since the last update. Also the channel HD HOMERUN that always worked for live TV has the same problem. This is an issue on the Android client I believe.
I uninstalled and re-installed the Plea app and now everything is working again.
Oh man, I got all excited thinking it might be as simple as reinstalling the app! Alas, no joy, it still crashes as soon as I try to watch Live TV :neutral:
Has anyone else experienced this issue? It’s now been dragging on for a while and is really annoying.
I just installed the hauppauge dual HD tuner so I could access live TV on my Samsung Note 8 android phone. Works OK on wireless network but app crashes every time on cell…
My Shield TV running Android also crashes immediately on live TV.
Another case here, Plex live tv keep crashing and I get a lot of weak signal messages.
This is annoying and should be addressed by the Devs
I am running Shield/Plex/HDhomerun and my signal strength is 86% and signal quality 100.
I completed powered of the TV the other day (switch out of the wall) and when I first started it up Live TV worked, but if I tried to watch a program that i was already recording it crashed, and then after that all Live TV access would crash the app again. Very frustrating - and the lack of feedback from devs/support is frustrating - does anyone even know/care that this is happening?
Would be great to know if it was a known issue and is being actively worked on.
Does the official HDHomeRun app work?
I don’t know if this is the same thing, but I was noticing warnings on my past recording schedules saying the was a crash at post processing (I assume the removal of commercials). I had been having signal problems. I readjusted the antenna, re-scanned my channels and now everything is working pretty well.
I am not using an HDHomeRun.
