Plex Media Server Logs_2020-04-18_17-52-34.zip (5.0 MB)

This has been a consistent problem on two different servers and two different tuners. TV plays for an hour or so and then the server crashes. (plex, not the computer). Shut down plex and restart and everything is fine, do not need to reboot the computer. Crashes almost immediately if you try to record something.

Intel Core i7 3770k @3.5GHz

Try updating your firmware http://my.hdhomerun.com/

Thanks for the suggestion. It made no difference.
I am looking at NIC drivers and wondering if there might be an issue there, Also using the switch ports in the back of my modem. Might look at getting a better switch.

I had both those issues as well, a Realtek ethernet that I had to use a driver from them and a cheap unmanaged switch that use to lock up the whole network at odd times.

New switch today. Dlink Gigabit.
Still crashing.

Housekeeping:
You have libraries that point to E:\ and I:\ , Plex sometimes has a problem with this especially if you also add E:\somesubdirectory.

Need to create a clear capture of the crash, setup a recording and grab the logs right after.

Ok will do over the next couple of days. The log I attached though is not of a recording failure, it just crashes when running live tv.
It does crash when I record, but that does not freeze the server, just fails the recording.

Well I rearranged my libraries two days ago so I have only one tv show library that points to the root of a drive. Not quite what I wanted because I wanted to separate recordings and other series I have from cd etc. But hey, it seems to be working fine. Have run Live TV for a couple of days now almost continuously with no more than a little buffering now and again that is probably more about my network traffic while both me and my wife are working from home. Also seems no be recording now with no issues. Removes cxomercials properly as well.
Cheers for the tips. Many thanks.
