Live TV & DVR - An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again

Server Version#: 1.21.2.3943
Player Version#: 8.11.0.22186

When attempting to play a Live TV channel on an Amazon Fire TV Cube I receive: An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again.
I have a Plex server on a Windows 10 machine and one on a Synology NAS. It does not matter which server is used.

There is no problem when playing on iOS, or PS4.

I have this exact same issue, but on a Nvidia Shield (latest from Google Play store), and plex being hosted in Docker (server version Version 1.21.3.4021).

Kind of kills the DVR usefulness.

when is anybody from plex going to just acknowledge that the have COMPLETELY FUBAR’d the android Plex client in all regards to watching Live TV & DVR.

Its like they hope that someone with a Fire TV or Android box wont have access to a Roku device.

Rokus still stream live TV without issue, but try it on the same server on an android device, your lucky if you can get it to start, let alone play for more than 5 minutes, or to not randomly kill the live tv ip stream (WHY?!), make commericials freeze then try to catch up and both audio & video are on fastforward to try to keep on time.

SOME ONE PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE THE ANDROID CLIENT & ISSUES THAT HAVE BEEN INTRODUCED FOR THE BETTER PART OF 8+ MONTHS!!!

I have this issue among another issue I posted on with Live TV & DVR on all my Firestick devices.

Same issue here on the Firestick, after every episode ends, it shows the error. I used to just turn off the new player and everything work fine and the error disappears but now that the option to turn off the new player is gone, we’re stuck with the error.

No issues on any of my other devices.
