Hello,

I went to watch some TV today and noticed that the Live TV guide was missing channel data on the Apple TV Plex app. This is also the case on the iOS Plex app. However, the guide appears fine via the web browser.

I’ve restarted PMS and checked that the server and all apps are running the latest version.

Anyone else come across this at all?

iOS app:

Edit: guide data appears present from Jan 1 2022 11am eastern Australian time.

I am having the same issue.

Same problem here.

Same thing here. Ugh

Same; on iphone and ipad. Started December 25. You could see guide data up until the afternoon, and then it just shows the network name. No idea how to resolve issues on PLEX, as there isn’t great support :frowning:

Same.

Just opened a thread without seeing this. I’m seeing the same thing. Works fine for me on Android TV, Plex Web, etc. Does not work on iOS or tvOS.

Edit: EPG data is available starting at 01:00 UTC on Jan 1.

It’s definitely on Apple side through Plex. It works fine when I attached directly to the server with any web browser.

Exact same here. Just iOS and AppleTV only. Works fine via Web and DVR schedule is still in tact.

Just like some of the others here, the guide seems to come back at 6 pm, December 31st.

Same here … glad it isn’t just me. Tried all the same things as above. Even did some data resets, but nothing is fixing this issue. I find it ironic, as this is exactly why I never do the lifetime subscription. I don’t think Plex has what it takes to go in the long run. Loving what works for now, but there needs a much more solid commitment to the customer base.

I’m also experiencing this issue on all of my Apple devices while Plex Web and my Roku load EPG data just fine. There is also wide reporting of this issue on the r/Plex subreddit.

There is speculation that it’s due to an expired API in the iOS/tvOS app, but it could be a number of things.

Me too. tvOS and iOS are missing guide data, but all other devices work as expected. Hopefully this can be resolved quickly as Plex typically has the best guide data of the apps I use.

I have the same problem, though the guide grid view works starts again at 6pm on the 31st of December.

Same here, Started just yesterday, all three Apple TV’s , when I run the Plex app (connected to Plex running on Synology NAS (and HDHomerun as tuner)), I get NO EPG data. Same on Plex app on iPad. If I run the Plex inbuilt app on my Sony Brava TV, all good, full EPG as usual. If I connect to Plex on my Mac via browser all good there too, same if I connect via Browser on iPad. It seems ONLY the ATV OS and iOS Plex app is affected. I have tried everything, shutting down NAS server, restarting everything, but issue still persists! Seems somehow the Plex app is not getting the EPG data feed when connected to the Plex server? So annoying this!
Update If I scan forward to Saturday the 1st January I see my full EPG from 10am onwards! (I am located in Australia, unsure if geo location has anything to do with this issue?? )

Same issue here. AppleTV with 7.26, Plex Server with Version 1.25.2.5319 on Synology DSM7 64-Bit Intel.

Count me in with the same problem on all 3 of my ATVs

same same wtf

Same for me as well.

I’m also seeing slight stuttering on Live TV & DVR content on these devices. Works fine via a browser or on my Mac Plex app. Have a HDHomerun Quatro and no stuttering through their app.

That’s almost certainly a separate issue. I would refer you to the Reddit.com/r/plex subreddit for support related to question regarding stuttery playback and resolving that issue.
