Indeed and if you want less hiccups, set your server update to the public channel instead of beta.
That brings up another issue I have, on the downloads page there is nothing stating that a particular release is Beta or notâŠnor are there release notes attached to view the changes to decide whether a particular release has fixes for something that is brokenâŠI know there is a Beta forum group somewhere but that isnât convenient, typically release notes accompany the downloadsâŠ
Thereâs a button for beta/production (beta being âPlex Pass downloadsâ and you only need to bookmark the release thread for convenience:.
Plex Pass downloads for PMS are always beta.
You can follow a single forum thread (that is, be notified of updates) for release notes: Plex Media Server
Find the ânotificationâ button:
Click on it and select Watching.
Last but not least, on Settings / Server / General, when you click on Whatâs New, you will get the appropriate release notes:
